William Rodney "Rod" Rosenbladt, son of Bill and Maxine Rosenbladt, grew up in Tacoma and Rosedale in Washington State. His original plan was to go to medical school and become a physician. After studying theology and Christian apologetics, especially the work of John Warwick Montgomery, he pursued ordination in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod and was brought onto the theology faculty of Christ College Irvine. Over more than thirty years of teaching there, he introduced countless students to the theology of the Reformation and the historical defense of the Christian faith. William is survived by his two children (Ted and Erin) but has a much larger informal family comprised of people he invited into his home over the years who carry his legacy of loving grace and forgiveness forward to the next generations.
