Verna Passmore

Verna B Passmore, age 91, passed away peacefully at the Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma on December 7th, 2023 from complications of Dementia.  She was born on November 12th, 1932 in New Leipzig, North Dakota to parents, Alvin and Ada Reichert.  Ada moved both Verna and her brother Donald to Tacoma, WA where she graduated from Kapowsin High School in 1950.

In 1950 she married Tom Passmore, her husband of 33 years and they raised 4 boys, Tom, Monte, Darcy, and Lindsay. Verna owned and operated TYEE Mobile Home Park in Tacoma, WA for 37 years. Verna loved collecting dolls, tea pots, tea cups and pretty much anything "tea related".

Verna is preceded in death by her husband Tom, father Alvin, mother and stepfather Ada and Ben Roseberry, brother Donald Reichert, and sons Darcy and Lindsay Passmore.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons, Tom Passmore, Monte Passmore and his wife Wendy, and three granddaughters Christina, Erin, and Amanda.

Verna will be forever loved and deeply missed by all her family and friends. She was the "Perfect Mother".

The family wishes to thank King's Manor Assisted Living for providing her a loving home for the last 14 months and Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, for their compassion and care during our mother's last few weeks.

At her request there will be no public memorial service. Services will be held in heart of each reader.
