Venilda Norma H. Sales peacefully passed away on July 11, 2023 in Anchorage, Alaska.

She was born on June 15, 1933 to Francisco and Josefa Hernandez in Tiaong, Quezon, Philippines.

On September 8, 1956 she married her soulmate, Rodolfo Sales. They went on to have 7 children and built a beautiful life together for 53 years.

With her warm and gentle demeanor, and natural ability to put others before herself, it's no surprise that many affectionately call her "Mommy." She'll be remembered as someone who was faithful to her Catholic faith, generous to everyone around her, and an incredibly dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

Venilda Norma is predeceased by her parents, husband, oldest son Dominador, and her siblings Reynalda Salud, Juanita Liwag, Francisco Jr, Nestor, and Romeo.

She is survived by her siblings Perla Hernandez, Araceli Manas, Erlinda Salud, and Enrique Hernandez; her children Wivina, Cristina, Rodolfo Simeon, Raymond, Priscilla Nancy, and Joanna; her in-laws Maria Fidelis Sales, Emmanuel Tolentino, Vincent Bautista, Joselito Acosta, and Guillermo Tolentino Jr.; her grandchildren Venilda Tisha, Timothy John, Marie Frances (Christopher Batu), Jan Marie (Jacob Zipay), Catherine, Martina Isabel (Ram Germar), Evin Matthew, Venilda Iluminada, Alexander, Jacob Thomas, Julia Marie, Jose Miguel, Christopher Ray, Dominick, and Justin Phillip; and great-grandchildren Aioh, Mason, Benjamin, Harper, and Callum.

Her inurnment service will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at the New Tacoma Cemetery in University Place, Washington at 9:00 a.m. (PDT).
