Timothy John Watson
January 3, 1957 – January 21, 2026

Timothy John Watson, 69, of Graham, Washington, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, following a tragic accident.

Tim was born on January 3, 1957, in Enumclaw, Washington, to Cleetis and Nora Watson. He was the youngest of five children and grew up surrounded by family, faith, and hard work on the family farm. He is survived by his siblings: Susan Johnson of Puyallup, Washington; Pamela Ferguson of Puyallup, Washington; David Watson (wife Ginny) of Colville, Washington; and Dan Watson of Chehalis, Washington.

On Friday, January 16, 2026, Tim suffered a devastating fall from a ladder onto a cement floor. His wife, Laurie, found him shortly thereafter, and he was rushed to the hospital. After five days of fiercely fighting for his life, surrounded by prayer, hope, and love, he passed peacefully on the night of Wednesday, January 21.

Tim leaves behind his devoted wife, Laurie Watson; his sons, Cole Watson (wife Holly) and their son Theo, and Ian Watson (wife Kate) and their son Griffin. He is also remembered by his stepchildren, Carissa Anderson and her daughter, Ava, and Ryan Anderson (wife Linh) and their son, Liam.

He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as countless lifelong family friends, church family, and members of the side-by-side racing community who shared in his passions and adventures.

Tim lived life to the absolute fullest with enthusiasm and joy. He loved camping, water sports, side-by-side racing, and anything that brought thrill and adrenaline. Above all, he had a true servant's heart. Tim never hesitated to help others—whether it was mowing a lawn, building a fence, cutting trees, fixing cars, or repairing anything with a motor. Whether he had known someone for a week or a lifetime, he showed up when help was needed.

A man of faith, Tim enjoyed attending church and was blessed with a phenomenal singing voice. He sang in the church choir for decades, using his gift to worship and serve the Lord.

Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. While our hearts grieve, we celebrate his life and the assurance that he believed in Christ and is now home with the Lord in Heaven. We imagine him joyfully making his rounds—perhaps in a side-by-side—visiting those who have gone before him, including his beloved parents.

Services

Tim will be laid to rest at New Tacoma Cemetery on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Open casket viewing: 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (the building across from the cemetery entrance)
Graveside service: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at High Pointe Church in Graham, Washington, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Tim's memory to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
