Thomas C, Wright, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 24th, 2022 in Tacoma Washington. Tom was born in Olds Alberta, Canada and spent most of his younger years between Canada and northern California.

Tom earned his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Washington State College, now WSU. He graduated in 1955 and then enlisted in the United States Army. He completed a 4 year-stint and was honorably discharged.  Tom then earned his masters degree in business from Eastern Washington University. After his graduation, he was hired as a professor at Pierce College to teach business.  Tom retired from Pierce College after 19 years of teaching.  Tom and his wife, Harriet Jean, also owned and operated two neighborhood grocery stores.

Tom was very active in Boy Scouts, his church food bank and he held numerous positions at his church. He greatly enjoyed wood working and building houses.

Family was his greatest joy. Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years Harriet Jean; his sister Ann (Pete): his children Laurel (Gregg), Steven (Katherine), Linda (John), and Keith (Marlene) along with fourteen Grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, October 7th at 2pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 10333 Bridgeport Way, Lakewood, Washington 98499.
