Thomas Danner, 70, passed on June 24th, 2023 at Good Samaritan Hospital with his wife, son and family by his side.

Thomas was born on March 28th, 1953 to Louise Danner and Tom Danner in Kemper County, Mississippi. Although Thomas moved North early on in his life, he held on to his love for Southern cuisine.  Thomas was passionate about education and proved to be an excellent example through his life. Thomas graduated from the University of Pudget Sound with his Bachelors and continued  his education at Maryland University where he received his Masters.  In 1973, Thomas joined the Air Force where he enthusiastically served his country for 13 years.  He married Elizabeth Danner on July 7th, 1979. The two spent almost 44 years together and were blessed with one son, Lymar Thomas Danner, and one granddaughter, Denise Ann Danner.

Thomas is survived by his wife Elizabeth; son Lymar; grandchild Denise; and siblings Mable, Willie, Catherine, and Annie.

He was preceded in death by his mother (Louise), brothers (Jessie, Johnny, & Felex), and father (Tom).

Thomas will be remembered for his love of family, education, news & politics, for his sense of humor and loyalty.

Celebration of Life will be held at New Tacoma Cemeteries and Funeral Home on July 6, 2023 at 11:00am.
