Tada Yotsuuye, 95, passed away on a Tuesday morning 9/19 peacefully at home and on his own terms. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and gentle and kind person.

Tada leaves behind his beloved wife (Yoshi) of more than 62 years, daughter (Ide & husband John), two sons (Tad & wife Hiroko) and (Bobby & wife Junko), and 6 grandsons (Jacob, Kyle, Ryan, Kayne, Jet & Enzo) who loved him and will carry on his legacy of love of family.

Tada enjoyed his family. Whether it was the gatherings on the farm in Fife, outings into the mountains, squid fishing in the sound, or the smelting at the ocean beaches. When it came to family, there was always an outpouring of love.

He received his A&P education after serving in the Army Air Forces where he was stationed in Hawaii, Tokyo and Fukuoka. It was in Japan where he first met his future wife and eventually married Yoshi. They married 10 years later and started their family in Spokane and eventually moved back home to Tacoma and raised their family.

With over 75 years in aviation, recipient of the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award, and Alaska Air Legend Award, and claimed to be the 1st to use "speed tape" on aircraft with West Coast Airlines, he eventually retired after 55 years with a great and local Alaska Airlines as a Maintenance Inspector.

A graveside service will be held at New Tacoma Cemetery. It'll be casual short and sweet, just like Dad…
