Steven Richard Hudson, age 70, of University Place, WA, passed away on November 21 st , 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Steve was born on October 20 th , 1952 to Richard and Sandra Hudson in Idaho Falls, ID. Shortly after, the family moved to Tacoma, WA where Steve spent the remainder of his life. After graduating from Curtis High School in 1971, Steve attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ID.

He provided window cleaning services to residents and businesses of the greater Puget Sound area for over 45 years, and touched the lives of thousands of people. He loved running his own business, and having the flexibility to spend as much time as possible with his family (being present for every single event or special occasion).
Steve married his wife Irene in Salt Lake City, UT on December 19 th , 1975. Steve is survived by his four children and their spouses (Crystal & Todd Stewart, Ben & Chelsea Hudson, Abe & Andrea Hudson, and Andrea & Marshall Oelkers), and six grandchildren (Nolan, Charlotte, Wade, Jude, Sydney, and Ivy).
Steve had many talents and interests. He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He loved hiking, camping, skiing, diving, boating, hunting, fishing, and driving to beautiful locations in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Steve loved sports, and was a lifelong fan of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, and UW Huskies football team.
Steve was very creative and artistic. He loved music, painting, writing, and building unique creations. He was drawn to the ocean, nature, and animals. He especially loved the family's dogs and cats (the grand-puppies and kitties). He often used inspiration from nature and animals as themes of his creative works.
Steve was loved by many, and was known to be very outgoing, but also very thoughtful and service-oriented. He was quick to come to the aid of his family, friends, and those in need, frequently providing quiet service to many people. His strong personality and sense of humor will be missed by many.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the New Tacoma Cemetery Chapel (9212 Chambers Creek Rd W., University Place, WA 98467).
