RONALD K. HILL

November 12, 139- September 28,223

Ron passed peacefully into Heave on September 28, 2023, with his loving wife Sharon by his side. He was 83-year-old and had fought long battle with Parkinson's Disease as, well as several other health issues. He was a graduate of the University of Puget Sound and a retired Tacoma Police Detective.

After his retirement Ron became very involved with the University of Puget Sound Athletic Program.  He served as President of the Logger Booster Club for sever years and volunteered as the Equipment Manager for the football team for three years, until his declining health made it necessary to resign.

He was an avid history buff and football fan. He also enjoyed camping and riding his beloved horse and companion "Max".  In his younger years he was a dedicated jogger.

Ron was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and served on the church council for many years, in various positions.

Ron is survived by Sharon, his loving wife of 59 ½ years, son Richard (Terri), a daughter Renee (Ron) Spoelhof, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

In Lieu of flowers, the family wishes that any memorial donations be made to Evergreen Lutheran High School, 7306 Waller Road East, Tacoma, WA 98445, or the Pierce County Humane Society.
