Maynard went to his heavenly home on Sept.9, 2023. He was born to Walter and Amanda Boeder on August 13, 1928, in DeSart, ND. He graduated from Hope HS, Kundert Aviation, and Coyne Electrical Inst. in Chicago. In 1951 he married Luanna Larson (deceased) and they farmed 640 acres for 19 years. In 1970 they moved to Fargo where he was Marketing Director of the ND Agricultural Marketing Assoc. He went on to operate 5 retail stores along with an air taxi & charter service. He was also involved with Toastmasters and the Gideons.

In 2002, he and Luanna moved to Tacoma, WA, and were active members of Zion Lutheran Church where he taught bible studies and served as an Elder for many years.

Maynard and Luanna were blessed with 5 children. Ronni Hjelseth (Ross), Jaqueline McLean (deceased), Gregory Boeder (deceased), Brad Boeder (Melodie), Kristi Merritt (Jeff). He has 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one granddaughter in heaven, Mya Lu Merritt.
