Mary Ann Schauer

April 25, 1934 to October 1, 2023

Mary Ann Schauer was born April 25, 1934 in Waterloo, Iowa to Eva and Hiram

Hurley, the second of seven children. She married the "Love of Her Life", Herman,

in 1952 and enjoyed a blessed and happy 55-year union. Mary was first and foremost

a loving mother, dedicating her time to raising five children and caring for the

household. As the children grew up and left home, Mary loved to dedicate her time

to friends, and to one of her passions – interior decorating. She even contributed to

decorating homes that were featured in the local "Street of Dreams". Mary was

able to enjoy one of her other passions, her 'Irish Heritage" when she traveled to

Ireland in 2002.

Mary's memory will live on in her children, Steven, Kristy (Steve), and Michael (Jodi).

Her grandchildren, Conrad (Jen), Kiley (Jason), Steven Michael, Justin (Nicole), Daniel

(Becka), Amy, and Alex. Her great-grandchildren, Krisalyn, Benjamin, Matthew, Harper,

Deacon, Weston, Gannon, Theo, Oliver, Emelia and Isabel.

Mary was loved by all who met her, and she will be missed by the extended

family as well, Doug (Carol), Nicole, Jack, and Jolaine.

Mary is now with her husband, Herman, and two of her children that preceded her in

passing, Cindy and Thomas.

She will be placed to rest with Herman at New Tacoma Cemetery, in a private family

gathering.
