On October 27, 2023, Mary Quanrud passed away peacefully at the age of 92 to be with her Lord and Savior.

Mary was born January 18, 1931, in Fargo, ND, to Frances and Howard Wheeler. She married Myron Quanrud of Buxton, ND, on Sept. 2, 1950. Together they raised their daughter Kathy McPhail, and sons Steve, Paul, and John Quanrud. Mary was a dedicated, loyal mom to her family and a loving friend to many. She was a gifted pianist, seamstress, and family cook. Her favorite activities included playing piano at the churches she attended, singing hymns, and planting fabulous gardens wherever she lived. Mary especially loved hanging out with her entire family.

Mike and Mary put their devout Christian faith into action with family first and showing love and kindness to neighbors and friends. As a couple living with their young family on the island of Adak, Alaska, they were renowned for sharing holiday meals with many lonely service members stationed there. Over the years they continuously gave to others in actions such as serving meals to the poor and sacrificially supporting missionaries.

Mary is welcomed into eternity by her loving husband Myron Quanrud, her parents, and sister Betty Jensen. She is survived by her 4 children and their spouses, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
