Marion Louise Lee was born in High Rolls, New Mexico on August 13, 1927 to Gertrude Sutton and Walter Charles Lee. She was raised in New Mexico and the Mojave desert in California. It wasn't an easy life, but she was an excellent student and graduated early from high school in the midst of World War II. She learned to type and that was her ticket to a job at Muroc (Edwards Air Force Base) where she met her first husband, a "fly boy", named James Wright.

The young couple moved to Collinsville, Mississippi after the war. It was there that she was baptized in a pond and joined the Baptist Church. During that time she experienced some of the worst racism in our country's history. Unfortunately, her marriage did not work out so she moved to the Pacific Northwest to be with her mother and her sister, Betty.

That was when she met Harold Feaster and started her family. She had two daughters, Linda and Sherri. Steilacoom became her home and she worked for the Steilacoom School District until she retired.

She was a member of Oberlin Church that later became Steilacoom Community Church. Her faith was very important to her and a wonderful way for her and her sister Betty to reconnect. The time with their Bible study group was very important to both of them.

She and Betty were lucky enough to live in the same assisted living facility for the last months of their lives. When her sister passed in February 2025 she was ready to go too. She got her wish on July 20, 2025 after a day spent having lunch with her friends in the dining room, having a massage and watching her Mariners play a baseball game. She almost made it to 98 years old.

She leaves behind her daughters, Linda DeCarlo, Sherri Reaves and her husband Mario Reaves, her grandchildren Marcus Reaves and Jamie Dowell, and her great grandchildren Casen Dowell and Madison Reaves.
