Spanaway

Obituary

Lorayne Breazeale passed peacefully, while surrounded by family, at her home on Spanaway Lake on August 2nd, 2022.  Lorayne was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

Lorayne was born in Tacoma Washington and raised on Day Island by her parents Bill and Hazel Willoughby.  It is on the shores of Day Island that, at 4 years old, Lorayne learned how to swim in the 45 degree waters of Puget Sound. She has loved being by the water ever since.

After graduating from Stadium High School, she enrolled in College of Puget Sound.  After two years of college, she married Robert Frace and they had two children, Linda and Gary. Lorayne went back to school and earned a master's degree in education.  She taught for many years in the Tacoma School District at Grant Elementary.

In retirement, Lorayne enjoyed traveling with her husband, Gary Breazeale, but their favorite days were spent at home, on the lake, with family.  Her other hobbies included gardening, shopping, having lunch with friends, and swimming in the lake. After her dear husband Gary passed, she reunited with her college friend, Edward (Ed) Balarezo and they spent many happy years together.

Lorayne was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Hazel Willoughby, brother Kenneth Willioughby (Mona), son-in-law Kenneth Running, and husband Gary Breazeale.

Lorayne is survived by her sister, Marcia Tucker, daughter, Linda Running, son, Gary Frace, granddaughters, Sarah Running, Lindsay Ekblad (Sean), Rachel Running (Ryan), grandson, Luke Frace and four special great grandchildren, Kellen and Elsie Ekblad and Benjamin and Amelia Morris.
