Marguerite Marie Rivera, age 91, passed away on May 6, 2023. She was originally from France, where she worked as a seamstress. After moving to America, she donated her time for over 30 years to working at the local food bank. Marguerite loved to walk and swim. She always knew what she wanted. She was witty and had a sense of humor of her own. There was never a challenge too big for Marguerite. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She could spend hours outside tossing the football around with them all. Marguerite enjoyed gardening and snacking while watching Wheel of Fortune. When the paper came you could find her doing the crossword puzzle.

Marguerite is now rejoicing in heaven with her beloved late husband, Lee Rivera and her loving great-grandson, Tyler Hunter. She leaves behind two children, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service held at New Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington on May 31st at 10:00am.
