Linda Joanne Kalland was born in Sinton Texas to Idalyne and Ollie Duncan on January 13, 1939 and passed peacefully at her home on September 24, 2023.

Linda met her husband Alfred H. Kalland while she was in college in Havre Montana.  They were married in June of 1959 and were still married when Al passed in October of 1999.  Al & Linda had three children, Wendy (Christopher Hahn), Jeff (Lisa) and Bryce (Christy).  They were blessed with two other children Klarie and Keith in 1979.  There were grandchildren – Kelsi (Jean Marc Betreaud), Linsie, Abigail, Aubrey (Bradley Stock ), Blane (Lisa Gosselin), Drew, Clara (Ryan Beam), Ian and Lauren.  There were 4 great grandchildren that she loved very much.

Linda was an elementary school teacher until she left the profession to raise her children.  She loved to garden, raise chickens, and always had a dog as her companion.  She and Al also built a thriving Amway business where they met many of their dearest friends.  When Bryce opened his restaurant Espresso Yourself, Linda worked there until COVID and her cancer kept her away.  She loved going in and seeing the customers – many of whom became close friends.

When Al passed in 1999, Linda kept busy with learning how to install a tile fireplace hearth, and digging a koi pond.  She was never not active.  Linda loved to reach out to help others whether family or friends.  She was always visiting or calling someone to make sure they were doing alright.

Linda loved the Lord and had been a Christian since her early teens.  She was a member of the Highland Hills Church in Tacoma when she passed.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her son Keith.
