Liliya (Lili) was born on June 8, 1987 in Bryansk, Russia, to parents Mikhail and Galina Korotkikh. She was the first of 4 children and has a sister Natasha, brother Ilya, and youngest brother Michael.As a child, Lili was very active. She started speaking and walking very early. When she was around 3 years old, she would carefully listen to the Bible when it was read. When her grandma would come to the parts of Jesus' suffering, Lili would cry. She was very sensitive towards other people's pain.

Lili was 10 years old when the family moved to the United States in 1997. The family attended Slavic Christian Center and Lili enjoyed participating in things like choir, plays, etc. She was 16 when she got baptized and became a member of the church on August 3, 2003.

After graduating high school, Lili went to college to earn her Associates degree and became a Medical Assistant. She got married to Roman on March 12, 2005 and continued to work as medical assistant until they had their 4 kids, Eli, Katalina, Abel, and Azar. She decided to become a stay-at-home mom to take care of the kids whom she loved very much. She always took them everywhere and spent a lot of time with them.

Lili was full of life, liked to be out and about and around people. She had a soft spot for handicapped animals and brought some home. She enjoyed painting and making flower arrangements. She always liked to give people little gifts and flowers and she was always the one to call to check in and talk, especially with her mom. During the last few months, she'd often tell her mom and sister Natasha that she loved them.

Lili was experiencing some health issues in the last year. Last June,she had her first brain bleed and had surgery but recovered very quickly and it seemed like everything was fine. She ended up having 2 more brain bleeds throughout the year. On August 21, 2022, Lili was experiencing a big headache and went to the hospital, where a severe brain bleed was discovered. Unfortunately, this one was the biggest one yet and caused a lot of damage and doctors weren't able to do anything. We are so grateful to everyone that prayed for Lili during this time. God decided it was her time to go on August 23, 2022 and waited for her family to be there, when her heart slowly stopped beating on its own and she passed away peacefully.

Lili's death is a big loss for the family. We loved her and will miss her presence in our lives very much. We are thankful for everyone that has prayed for Lili and for coming today to say goodbye. May God Bless you all.
