Kris or Kristy as the Schrantz family refers to her, was born in St Paul Minnesota to George and Thelma Schrants.Her siblings, George Schrantz, Suzy Wilson and Carol Sipes preceded her in death as did Rosemary's parents, Ralph and Mary Jones and sibling Judy Riekena and dear friend, Myrt Dudley.  She is survived by her beloved wife, Rosemary Jones and her siblings Steve Jones and Susan Hanson, and Kris's siblings Steve Schrantz and Jim Schrantz as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kris's father was career Army so she grew up in St Paul Minnesota, Austria, Baltimore Maryland, Panama and then back to St. Paul. After high school Kris briefly entered the convent as a postulant.  She decided that was not to be her life path and went to work for Delta Airlines in reservations.  She first worked for Delta in New York City, then transferred to the Seattle area. While in Seattle she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology as well as a degree in massage therapy.  She completed her working life as a massage therapist, in business for herself. Kris was a giver: she volunteered for a mental health crisis hotline for a time as well as massage therapy for hospice patients.

In 1995 Kris met Rosemary and their 30-year-long love affair began.  They traveled extensively over several years, tremendously enjoying their life together.  In 2009 Kris and Rosemary joined United Church in University Place, where they joyfully gave of their time, committed to the life of their church and their God.

Kris was a gentle, sweet and kind soul to those who knew and loved her. She will be forever in their hearts.
