Kris Earl Ray, 53, of Tacoma, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023.

Kris was born on April 11, 1970, to Katherine and Winfield Ray in Stuggart, Germany. He was the oldest of three children. The family settled in Tacoma in the 1980s after his father finished his military career. Kris graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988. After graduation, Kris went on to join the Navy. He was a service member for three years.

Kris met Jennifer through his sisters. They married on November 14, 1998, and went on to have two children, Xander and Charisma.

Kris worked as a truck driver for the last 13 years.

Kris was a devoted husband and father. He loved to spend time with his family, play games with his friends on Friday nights, and watch the Seahawks with Jennifer on Sundays. His birthdays were usually spent in Seaside, Oregon, where his family made wonderful memories.

Kris was predeceased by his parents, Katherine and Winfield Ray. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Ray, children, Xander Ray and Charisma Ray, sisters, Becky Ray and Lena Swanson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 29th, 2023, at the Lakewood Elks Club from 4-8 pm.
