In Loving Memory

Kimee Tang Bognar was born on July 5, 1934, in Taipei, Taiwan, and passed peacefully into the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 91 years old and is now resting joyfully in Heaven.

Kimee married Thomas Bognar in 1957. They welcomed their son, Thomas, in 1959, and after moving to the United States and her becoming an American citizen, their daughter Christina was born in 1961.

Kimee was a devoted wife and mother with a true servant's heart— an example of love, kindness, and humility to all who knew her. She spoke four languages: Taiwanese, English, Japanese, and Chinese. She touched many lives with her strength, gentleness, and radiant beauty.

She was an incredible cook whose meals brought comfort, connection, and love to all who sat at her table. She loved plants, flowers, and birds, and found joy in the peaceful beauty of the color green.

Kimee was an active member of Living Grace Church of Tacoma, faithfully serving her community. Even in her 80s, she dedicated her time to the local food bank, embodying her belief in serving others.

She laid down her life for others, always putting family and loved ones before herself. Her faith was the center of her life. She loved  Jesus deeply and lived out that love with humility, generosity, and grace.

She is survived by her husband Thomas; their son Thomas; and their daughter Christina (Scott Stolzenburg). She is also survived by six grandchildren: From Thomas: Ashley (Justin Ruiz), Ryan, and Natalie (Dustin Morton); From Christina: Greg, Jeff, and Jillian (Brent Zelinski); and four great-grandchildren: Melody, Renee, Thomas Morton, and Topanga Ruiz.

She leaves behind a legacy of devotion, compassion, and faith— a shining example of a life well-lived.
