Kevin James
Delaney
Mar 25, 1970 — Jun 14, 2026
Tacoma
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kevin Delaney, a loving father, cherished son, devoted brother, and loyal friend, who left this world on June 14, 2026. Kevin passed peacefully at his home in the loving arms of his family after a long, courageous battle with congestive heart failure. He was 56 years old.
Kevin was born on March 25, 1970, in Tacoma, Washington, to James F. Delaney and Lynnette M. Greiner Delaney Parkison. He was a beacon of joy and laughter, well known for his larger-than-life smile and a unique laugh that could light up any room. His presence was magnetic, and his spirit was infectious, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kevin's professional journey began in the rugged landscapes of Arizona, where he worked with heavy equipment in the construction field. His work ethic and dedication were unparalleled, traits that he carried with him when he returned to Washington to learn plumbing as an apprentice. Kevin's hands shaped many projects and built many dreams, leaving a lasting legacy in the communities he served.
Music was the rhythm of Kevin's soul. An avid music lover and talented drummer, he always had his drumsticks close by, ready to create melodies that resonated with his vibrant spirit. His passion for music was a testament to his zest for life and his ability to find joy in every beat.
Kevin is survived by his loving mother, Lynnette M. Parkison, and his dear sister, Michelle M. Morrell, and her partner, John Pielak. He leaves behind his beloved children, daughters Cammy Delaney, married to Noah Wade, and Kassie Delaney, married to Eugene Simmons, as well as his son Corry Jaynes. Kevin was a proud grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also remembered by his cousin Tammy, married to Allen Willis, whose unwavering support and love helped guide Kevin through his final days with grace and peace. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, James F. Delaney, and his stepfather, Douglas L. Parkison, with whom he is now reunited.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on June 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM at MOM'S.
In honor of Kevin's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice, allowing his legacy of kindness and compassion to continue.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to cousin Tammy Willis for her compassionate care and support, ensuring Kevin's transition was as painless and peaceful as possible, as he went on to meet Jesus and those he loved who passed before him.
Kevin Delaney will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the laughter of his children, the rhythm of his music, and the hearts of those who loved him.
