Julia P. Stoudemire peacefully passed on to be with our Father, Creator of the heavens and earth, the morning of April 19, 2022, while asleep in her bed and cared for by her family.

Born March 19, 1929 to the late Manuel Delpino (a.k.a John Smith) and Eva Love, Julia was a native of Franklin, North Carolina and raised in Lakeland, Florida. Presently, she joins family at rest, her brothers: the Honorable Charles Z. Smith, John Roy Smith and Freddie Burt Smith. Also, her sisters at rest: Suzie A. (Smith) Burton and Johnsy L. (Smith) Huff. She is survived by her sister, Boneva H. (Smith) Heflin and her brother, Clint Bartholomew Smith, and sister-in-laws Eleanor Martinez Smith and Argentina Smith.

Julia met and married her "Handsome Marine" and late husband, Jesse James Yarbrough Stoudemire in Seattle, Washington. After stationed in various locations, they settled in Tacoma, Washington and were blessed with a daughter, Eva Javon Yarbrough Stoudemire. Julia's linage continues with grandchildren: Jenai Y. (Spencer) Bryant, Djavon I. Stoudemire Spencer and Djovon T. Stoudemire Spencer, and great-grandchildren:  Isaac J. Bryant, Jada-Nicole L. Glover and Camille Y. Bryant. She joins her grandchildren, Aaron M. Spencer, Jr and Jonte A. (Spencer) Glover, and grandson-in-law James Christopher Bryant in rest. Her legacy of love and family continues with a multiplicity of nieces and nephews.

As a daughter of the Most High God, she lovingly donated to charity and flourished to serve with joining the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Tacoma, Washington. As a life-long member, she rejoiced in singing with the Gospel Choir, delighting the many hearts and souls, spreading His Word in song across the nation.

Julia's body was laid to rest next to her beloved husband of 45 years at the Tacoma Cemetery.
