Obituary

Juan Jose Dela Cruz (Cruz), Born in Harlingen, Texas Raised in Kingsville, Texas and went to Catholic school and was even an Alterboy Sadly passed away in Lakewood, Washington. Juan was  preceded in death by father Pedro Cruz and mother Angelita Cruz,  brothers Felix, Alfredo, And Joe Cruz and Sister Jessica Cruz. Juan is survived by his wife Adele Compean Dela Cruz, Sons John and Mark Dela Cruz, and a brother living in Kingsville, Texas, Pete Cruz and numerous cousins nephews and nieces.

Juan was dedicated to public service and was Career Army and served Honorably, in between tours of duty he was in the National Guard and Worked at what was then Tacoma Water Works, upon retirement from active duty he went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service as a Mail Handler at the Tacoma mail distribution/processing center and retired out of there after years there to. In his spare time and into retirement he enjoyed watching sports on Root sports northwest, reading western novels, coin collecting, rolling coins and in his younger days liked to play Dice and as a child play with marbles. Juan frequented BJ's casino in Fife, EQC in Fife and the Lakewood Taco Bell and enjoyed chatting with the employees Juan always needed something to do if there was nothing to do he would be creative and invent something to do even if it meant piddling around in the yard. Juan was a dedicated and loyal husband and father to his sons and a void will be felt with him not present in our lives and he will be missed.
