Preceded in death by his parents Joseph Donald and Pauline Dee.

Joey was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He started life loving the outdoors. Growing up on the Eastside of Tacoma, Joey was athletically inclined and always involved in sports. Attending Fawcett Elementary, Stewart Junior High and graduating Lincoln High School in 1977.

His favorite pastimes were Softball and Golfing which lead to trips across states Colorado, Oregon, Texas and Utah among others. Many for tournaments or golfing fun. While playing with the Men's club at Brookdale Golf Course Joey snagged a Hole-in-one on the 5th hole!!

As a natural redhead his temper sometimes got the best of him but he never held a grudge. He was always willing to help a friend in need. He never asked for much and was loved by many. His love for his animals was strong. Having Boston Terriers throughout his life Skippy, Byron, and Zoey.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 23rd from 1:00-3:00pm at The Black Star.
