Obituary

Joseph Louis Bahlinger, aged 69, of Tacoma WA, was called home to the Lord on May 10, 2024. Born on November 25, 1954, in Manheim, Germany, Joseph was lovingly adopted along with his brother John by Joseph and Jeanne Bahlinger, who instilled in him the virtues of humility, service, and faith. Raised under the guiding principles of Christian charity and military honor, he lived a life reflective of these values.

After serving with distinction in the US Army for over 8 years, Joseph continued to embody the spirit of dedication and sacrifice in his daily life, always placing others before himself.

He is cherished in memory by his brother John; his devoted spouse Sun; his children Donna, married to Daniel; And Tony, married to Monera; his daughters from a previous union, Bobbie and Joni. Joseph's legacy further lives on through his ten grandchildren and seven  great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is reunited in heaven with his earthly father, Joseph Basil Bahlinger, and mother, Jeanne Leverne Ringer (BahlingerAldrich).

Josephs's life was a testament of his love for God's creation. He found joy in the tranquility of nature, the simple pleasure of a well-told story in old westerns and monster movies, and the fellowship found in music, camping, and fishing. A man with deep faith, he walked humbly with God, and his spirit was nourished by the love of Christ.

In gratitude of Josephs life and with respect for his humble nature, there will be no public memorial services at this time. His family finds comfort in the knowledge that his soul rests in the eternal embrace of our Heavenly Father.
