John Stephen Stecker, 61, entered into peaceful rest on Sunday, July 24th 2022 at his home in Tacoma. Born on May the 22nd 1961 in Jackson, Michigan, he was a son of the late Gordon E. Stecker and Marion L. Silvernail Stecker.

Mr. Stecker is survived by his wife Misook of 35 years marriage; (2 daughters) Linda Jane Stecker of Maricopa, AZ and Ellen Jean Bermudez of Westminster, CA; (5 grandchildren) Abel Castillo age 13, Teresa Bermudez age 8, Dahlia Bermudez age 5, Aubrey Castillo age 2, and Bennett Castillo age 1 month; (4 brothers) Daniel Paul Stecker of Schertz, TX, James Mark Stecker of Noblesville, IN, Joel Andrew Stecker of Elkins, WV, and Timothy Phillip Stecker of Tipton, IN; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Stecker was predeceased by his parents and a cousin.

John graduated from Laurelbrook Academy in 1979. He worked as a private English tutor, teaching Korean students.

John's memorial service was held at Auburn City SDA Church July 30, 2022 at 4pm and streamed via the church's YouTube channel and Facebook page where the recording remains available. Burial will be at the Johnsonburg Cemetery, Johnsonburg NY. Contributions & condolences may be made under his name through the church.
