Sadly, Our beloved , Joanne Finley, 54, of Oahu, HI, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2025.

Joanne Finley was born on April 16, 1970 to Joseph & Shirley Finley in Tacoma, WA. After graduating from high school, with her passion in dancing and cheerleading, she went on to dance on the Royal Carribean Cruise Ship. After having her first born, Joanne moved to Las Vegas, worked hard on earning a Masters at the University of Nevada (UNLV) in Filmmaking, Marketing Communications, and Psychology where she learned from some of the best in the industry. After graduation Joanne pursued her passion of working at KHON2 News which eventually led her to her biggest passion of traveling. Making one of the biggest decisions of her life she moved to Hawaii, where she got a job at KHNL Hawaii News Now 8. Joanne was all about her family, her son and her grandchildren. Even when she was away chasing her dreams she still always went out of her way to be there for the family. Her passion drove her to chase her dreams that were thought to be unachievable, which were accomplished. After settling on the island she studied hard to become a flight attendant for Hawaiian Airlines, giving her the freedom of travel and being able to see the world but still come back and see family. Joanne had a huge personality. She had an impact on each and every person that she interacted with. She was inspirational, kind, loving, and accomplished with determination and persistence. Her kindness will always be remembered.

Joanne Finley is one of the most amazing, strongest women I have ever met.

Her greatest joys were her love for her family.

She is missed everyday.
