Jo Ann L. Royer departed her loving family on April 28, 2022. Jo Ann was born July 31, 1937 in Tacoma, Washington to Arthur and Louise Spencer. Jo Ann was a leader of Rainbow Girls in Tacoma, Washington. She was Worthy Advisor when she attended Stadium High School class of 1955.

Jo Ann retired from the Tacoma School District after teaching elementary school for twenty eight years. She was a member of the Tacoma Yacht Club, Fircrest Golf Club, and First Christian Church.

She is survived by her cherished children, Lisa Hallstein (Rolf) and Mary Ohlsen (Peter Banks, boyfriend; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a wonderful step-granddaughter, Shonda Cannon (David). Jo Ann's loving husband, Cecil Royer, passed away November 3, 2017 after 59 years of marriage. She was an avid book reader and the epitome of joy, happiness and grace.

We would like to thank the Weatherly Inn of Tacoma for their loving care of Jo Ann. She loved her caregivers and friendships at the Weatherly. At her request there will not be a funeral service.
