Jane Angela Gathoni Kaminja, born on September 22nd, 1954, in Nairobi, peacefully passed away on April 9th, 2024, at 12:10 pm, surrounded by her beloved family, after a valiant battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. She was the cherished biological child of Grace Wanjiru Mbugua and Abdul Hussein, and the second of seven siblings.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her four sisters: Lucy, Lilian (deceased), Hannah, Mary along with two brothers: George (deceased) and Peter. She was the adored mother of Maureen, Ronnie, and Ali, and the doting grandmother of eleven grandchildren: Andre, Ryan, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Shani, Zara, Kwame, Sean, Myla, Gianna, and Imran. Mother-in-law to Candyce (deceased), Francis, Patience, and Leah. Auntie to many.

Jane's life was one of resilience and determination. Raised in Ziwani, Nairobi alongside her siblings, she was also fostered by several families during her early years before finding a loving home with Arnold Pudo, who provided her with care and education through high school. She attended Precious Blood Riruta, where she obtained her high school diploma.

Following her education, Jane married Kennedy Angoche, with whom she shared three children. She started out life residing in Mombasa and later Nairobi, where she attended a secretarial college and embarked on a career at the Ministry of Home Affairs at Jogoo House, dedicating herself to public service for most of her professional life.

In pursuit of new opportunities, Jane relocated to the United States, residing in Texas with her son Ronald and his family before settling in Tacoma, Washington. She worked diligently as a caregiver, including a significant tenure at Western State Hospital, before transitioning to become an Adult Family Home provider.

Throughout her life, Jane exuded warmth and compassion, a deep love for God and prayer. She was a resilient woman and always would speak on situations with "everything will be alright" statement. You would always stumble upon her seated on the side of her bed, praying and when mother prays, God listens. She found joy in cleanliness, singing in the choir, shopping, and cooking for her loved ones. Our neighbors always found a reason to be hanging around at dinner time, especially when Pilau was on the menu.

Even in the face of illness, she fought fiercely to live, demonstrating remarkable strength and resilience.

Jane's memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May her soul find eternal rest, and may her legacy of love and perseverance inspire us all.
