James
Cunningham
Jul 22, 1952 — Jul 30, 2025
Puyallup
James Joseph Cunningham, "Jimbob" to his friends and family, was born on July 22, 1952, in Seattle, Washington. He went to be with Jesus on July 30, 2025. He attended school in Seattle and graduated from Chief Sealth H.S. in 1970. He loved photography, running, and fixing things. After his stint in the U.S. Navy, he trained in the jewelry trade and worked in Seattle as a jeweler/engraver for more than 30 years. He also designed jewelry in his spare time. Jim married Carla in 2002 and blessed her family with his generous and loving spirit. His love for dogs, books, and computers was widely known. A more humble and patient man could not be found. Jim was a stranger to no one and could easily make friends on his bus ride to work. He had an amazing memory and could recommend the best place to buy pizza in Seattle. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carla; a stepson, Michael; a stepdaughter, Rebecca; and 5 grandchildren. He was the eldest of 5 and is survived by two sisters, Susan and Linda, and a brother, Tom, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cleo Cunningham, and his sister, Mary, and Sean Jr., a nephew. Everyone that knew him loved him and was blessed by his spirit.
