James Patrick Blowers    March 27, 1933 – July 29, 2023   Tacoma, WA

Jim was born to Herbert and Cecelia Blowers on March 27, 1933 in Sherburn, Minnesota. He was the oldest of 5 children. Jim graduated from Clover Park High School in 1952. He then served in the US Marine Corps for 3 years. After serving in the military, Jim had several jobs before becoming a business owner and starting Evergreen Tire & Battery (Wheel) in 1964. He was very well respected in the tire and automotive industry. His family helped run the business for 47 years and had many employees who became like family.

Jim married Elizabeth Morrison in 1957. Their family included sons Steve and Gary (Sally) and daughter Pam. He was blessed with grandchildren Kyle, Matthew (Taylor), Brad, Chris, and Kaitlyn as well as great granddaughters Zoey and Gwen. Jim's family was of utmost importance to him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister Sandra and stillborn daughter Debora. He is survived by his brother Vince (Sandy) and sisters Delores and Carol (Don).

Jim was always a hard worker. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed boating, yard work, golfing, going for drives, being a snowbird in the Palm Desert, spending time in his fifth wheel on the Cowlitz River, eating out, reading westerns, playing cards and sharing jokes. Manhattans were his favorite!

Jim will be remembered as a loving family man, respected business owner, and a good Christian man. He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
