Holly Rose
Wagner
Oct 11, 1980 — Mar 14, 2026
Tacoma
Holly Rose Wagner passed away peacefully at her home in Tacoma, Washington, on March 14, 2026, at the age of 45.
She was born on October 11, 1980, in Lakewood, WA, to Gary and Nancy Wagner as the second of six children. While growing up in Steilacoom, she attended Saint Francis Cabrini School through eighth grade and went on to Steilacoom High School, where she graduated in 1999. She was employed at Albertsons as both a produce clerk and a cashier. She eventually moved on to work for Dr. Brain's dental office, where she had various duties at the front desk and in the back office. She met her future husband, Robert Barnes, while working at Albertsons,, and they later went on to be married. She was blessed with a son, Logan Barnes, on December 24, 2013, and her sole focus became being a homemaker and a mother.
Holly was known for her fierce loyalty, gentle compassion, and kind soul that always stuck up for the underdogs. She was also known for saying and doing things that would make you both blush and laugh.
Holly was dealt many tough hands throughout her life. She persevered and always came out triumphant after every struggle and trial, and her faith never wavered. Through those trials, she was able to bring others to God. She was undoubtedly one of the sheep, a child of God, and was truly led by the Holy Spirit. She proved her faith here on earth, and the Lord took her home.
She is survived by her husband Robert Barnes, her son Logan Barnes, her mother Nancy Wagner, and her siblings Jessica Maselli (Daniel), Wesley Wagner (Alexys), Adrienne Wagner, Effie Wagner, and Dane Wagner. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Wagner; her grandfather, Robert Stevens; and her grandmother, Gloria Stevens.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Saint Charles Parish and school community. Their love and support has helped us through this extremely difficult time, and we are eternally grateful.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Charles Borromeo in Tacoma, WA, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11 am.
