Helga Jackson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by family and friends she loved with all her heart. She was reunited with her husband, Thomas Jackson, who preceded her in death on September 29, 2022.

In 1935, Helga was born in Frankfurt, Germany; as a young teenager, she embarked on a life-changing journey to the United States with her mother, Franziska, sisters Goldie and Ulla, and brother, Herbert. Together, they made a new life in America, a testament to Helga's spirit of adventure and strength.

Helga found the love of her life in Thomas Jackson, and together, they built a life full of adventure. As a military family, they spent many years traveling with their daughter, Andrea, by their side, creating cherished memories across the globe. Helga and Tom shared a deep, loving partnership for 60 years, a marriage rooted in devotion, laughter, and mutual respect. Their shared love for adventure never faded, and in later years, they found joy in traveling the US together in their motorhome while also embarking on several Disney cruises. These experiences brought them both great happiness and created family memories.

Helga's greatest joy was her family. She was a doting grandmother to her granddaughter, Saige, who lovingly called her "Nama" a name by which many of her loved ones knew her. Nama's warmth, love, and infectious sense of humor touched the hearts of all who knew her. Whether cheering from the sidelines at soccer games or sharing moments in the kitchen, Helga found deep joy in being with her family. She was always one of Saige's biggest fans, attending every soccer game and offering her encouragement and support. Helga also cherished her time in the kitchen with Saige, where they often cooked and baked together, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

She had an adventurous spirit that was often seen in her love for going on trips to Costco with her son-in-law. Their excursions were never just about shopping but finding hidden gems, often discovering the most interesting or quirky products together. With each visit, they were always looking for the perfect chocolate treat or unique snack to bring home. Whether it was caramel chocolate with sea salt, rich truffles, or limited-edition seasonal flavors, she was always excited to share her finds with her daughter and family, making Costco trips a sweet memory of exploration and joy. At night, she enjoys sitting with her grandsons, Tobin and Bryce, watching her favorite shows: Law & Order: SVU, Blue Bloods, and Modern Marvels.

In addition to her devotion to family and God, Helga found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed sitting out in the yard, visiting with her best friend Sherry, neighbors, and friends, reading, and soaking in the sunshine, often drinking a sweet lemon drop with her daughter. Her love for people, adventure, and family made her presence in any room unforgettable. All who knew her will deeply miss her warm spirit and vibrant personality.

Helga is survived by her loving daughter Andrea (husband Scott and his sons Tobin and Bryce), her granddaughter Saige, and extended family and friends whose lives she touched.

May she rest in peace and be reunited with her beloved husband, where her legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew her.
