Obituary

Hedwig Emma Bingham "Hedy" passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 92. Hedy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother.

Hedy was born on October 26, 1933, in the small town of Bad Kreuznach, Germany, where she later met her husband, Clyde Bingham Jr.

Through Clyde's military service, they traveled throughout the United States. Every two years brought a new location, a new job, and new challenges. Hedy never let starting over slow her down. She worked as a seamstress, built her own sewing business, and even ran a self‑service gas station. If life presented a challenge, she found her way through it with determination and creativity.

Hedy was known for her tenacity and dedication to family. She expressed her love through generosity, homemade meals tailored to everyone's favorite dishes, and the countless hand‑knit blankets that continue to keep her family warm and memories close.

She was a fun‑loving grandmother with a warm, welcoming home, especially during the holidays. Her fridge was always stocked with her grandchildren's favorite treats, a simple but heartfelt way she showed her love. Despite English being her second language, she became a crossword puzzle whiz, always drawn to anything that challenged her mind. She encouraged, supported, and celebrated her family with a strength that made everyone feel seen and loved.

Her resilience, her warmth, and her unwavering love shaped generations. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever woven into the fabric of our family.

Hedy is survived by her four children: Carmen Kuechenmeister, Clyde Bingham III, Debora Bingham, and Keith Bingham; her six grandchildren: Nicole Kuechenmeister, Charles Bingham, Austin Nicholas, Alexander Nicholas, Anna Nicholas, and Ashley Bingham; and her three great‑grandchildren: Wyatt Nicholas, Deacon Bingham, and Dawson Bingham.

Hedy was preceded in death by her husband Clyde who passed away on June 24, 2022.
