HC Martin was born at home in Covington Tennessee May 2, 1929. He passed quietly in Pierce County on April 7, 2023. His wife of 53 years Erma Mills Martin preceded him death as did his son James J. Martin.

Mr. Martin served 20 years in the USAF in Alaska, Thailand, Japan, and Germany retiring as a staff Sgt. In Tacoma. He then served in the Civil service at Madigan Hospital for 27 years before retiring.

He was known for his varied  interests and  was  active his whole life. His hobby for years were his Rolling Pigeons that he raised, showed and competed in performances. He volunteered at the pigeon exhibit at the WWST for over 20 years. He had flowers, and garden where he shared his Dahlias and produce with neighbors and family.

His collections included, pigeon bands from around the world, old cameras, coins, stamps. Fishing and hunting that he passed to his children and grand children.

HC is survived by his son Victor H. Martin and his daughter Barbara Lee Reblin and son-in-law, Paul Reblin. Grandchildren Victor Jr., Chris, Matthew, and Paul eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

HC was one of 14 siblings; and is survived by sisters Joan, Sue, Linda; and brothers Jackie and Ronnie.
