Guy A. Mills, March 12, 1937-January 12, 2024

University Place, Washington- Guy Mills, age 86, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 12, 2024, only one month after his beloved wife, Lorene. He was born in Chehalis, Washington to Len and Florence Mills.

Guy and Lorene were high school sweethearts, recently celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary.   They resided in University Place for over 60 years where they raised two daughters, Lynette and Karla.

Guy led a full life of work, philanthropy, travel, and dedication to family.  Dad's grandsons were his pride and joy. Dad worked for over 45 years beginning in his father's saw repair shop, briefly as a logger, and finally as an industrial supply sales representative.  After retiring, he devoted countless hours volunteering at the University Place Lion's Club.  He enjoyed time with friends at the YMCA and Starbucks. He was best known for his friendly personality, singing/playing guitar, fishing/camping, hosting family gatherings, and spending time with his beloved grandsons.  After retiring, Guy and Lorene enjoyed two decades of travel around the world and especially enjoyed their yearly trips to Kona.

In addition to Lorene, he is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Lynette.  He leaves behind his daughter, Karla (Richard) Benedetti, grandsons, Brian and Brad, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Jim/Ruth, Bill/Linda, Dee/Chris, and Dick, numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, January 13th for both he and Lorene.  Although it is difficult to say goodbye, we are comforted that they are together again in eternity.
