Gaylon Louise
Bostrom
Apr 6, 1933 — Jan 15, 2026
UNIVERSITY PLACE
Gaylon Louise Bostrom went to her eternal home on January 15, 2026. There she will be reunited with her husband of 57 years, Stan Bostrom; her father, Loran; her mother, Muriel; and her brother, David. Her sister, Trudy, was with her until the end.
Gaylon was a dearly loved mother to her five sons: Dave, Steve, Mark, John, and Gary. She gave each of them her love, encouragement, and a strong spiritual foundation, for which they are forever grateful. In their parents, they saw a deep love for one another, for Christ, and for their sons—a love they never questioned.
In addition to her five sons, Gaylon is survived by 10 grandchildren who adored her quiet, sweet, and hopeful ways, as well as two great-grandchildren. She retired as an employee of Washington State, enjoyed trips with Stan to visit family in Minnesota, and helped homeschool two of her grandchildren.
A humble and content woman, Gaylon's greatest joys were her husband, her family, her Bible, and serving others. She never complained, always listened, and laughed easily. Gaylon did not find value in things but lived for the eternal and unseen.
As much as she will be missed, we take great hope in knowing that Gaylon Louise Bostrom no longer sees through a glass darkly, but now sees her Savior face to face.
She is home.
