Obituary

Frances was born the 24th of February, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington and lived here all her life, including in Lakewood. She graduated from Lakes High School in 1965 and then went on to study and graduate from the Dental Assisting School of Bates College with a Bachelor's degree.

Though she never married, nor had children, Frances lived a life dedicated in celibacy to The Lord Jesus Christ. She worked 14 years for Dr. John Moore as a wonderful, winsome, one-girl-office manager, hygienist, dental assistant, front desk attendant, phone operator, x-ray technician, and sometime wrangler of small children who at first refused to say "Aaah!"

Here are a few Fond Family Memories:

  • Sister Barbara remembers she always paid in cookies and love.
  • Barbara also remembers the camping trips in the rain, too.
  • Brother Bill fondly remembers visits with their cousins.
  • Nephew Sean remembers being taught the value of honesty after being caught watching TV when he wasn't supposed to. Again.

Frances was preceded in death by her father, Saxon Morrell and mother, Helen Anne Rawlings. She is survived by her siblings, brother, Saxon William Rawlings; sisters, Barbara White and Susan Lake; and beloved nieces and nephews.

She was deeply devoted to Jesus and His church, family, and little ones. And many of those were furry, four-pawed, and fluffy.
