Puyallup
Eunice Fitzgibbon
July 29, 1928 – April 11, 2024
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, EJ Fitzgibbon, and her three brothers. She is survived by her nephew Roger Deskins and her third cousins, Sharon Keesecker, and Jeanine Donnell, and grandnephew Demond Deskins. She is also survived by long-time caregivers and close friends Jose Torres and Eva Gaspar. They devoted over 10 years to care for Eunice's personal, mental, and spiritual well-being
Eunice was born and raised in Logan County, West Virginia. As a young lady, she worked at a bank. EJ and Eunice loved to travel and attend camp meetings, picnics, and drive-in movies. She was an excellent baker and famous for her cornbread. Eunice could also be seen driving around in her pick-up truck.
Eunice was a member of Trinity Church in Tacoma, WA, where she sang in the choir. The church greeters waited for her as she sped into the parking lot in her huge Mercury Marquis as if it were her old pick-up.
She was a woman of faith until her last breath, mouthing the words, "This is the day the Lord has made, we will be glad and rejoin in it."
