Ericka L. Whitfield was born on June 19, 1970, in Tacoma, Washington, to the late Robert and Alberta Harrison.  She is survived by her husband, Robert Whitfield; son, Miguel Harrison; daughters, Monique Harrison-Dilks and Shayla Whitfield; and siblings, Roserita Bacon, Bonnie Hudspeth, Zerita Harrison, Ronnie Harrison, Therese Harrison, and Elaine Harrison.  One sister, Charlene Bowman, preceded her in death. She was a proud grandma of two, Haythem and Legacy Dilks.

Ericka graduated from the former Wilson High School in Tacoma, earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Washington Tacoma, and her master's degree (MBA) from Western Governor's University.  She had a number of jobs in the field over the years, but found the one that made her the happiest at the end of her career.  She was a small business coach for a nonprofit organization.  She loved her job and, most of all, her co-workers.

Ericka started attending Champions Center in 2001.  She served in many different ministries throughout the church over the years. She served her church family with the dignity and grace that developed relationships that bloomed into lifelong friendships with many.

Ericka loved spending time with family, traveling, and shopping for a "great deal."  She had a love for being at the ocean, where she found peace and serenity just watching the waves roll in (and occasionally getting her feet wet).  The beach was her "happy place."
