Liz passed away August 11, 2025, at home surrounded by family members. She was born on October 19, 1938, to Anton and Blanche (Kohout) Kuntz in Forsyth, Montana, and grew up with five siblings. When she was young, the family moved to Tacoma, Washington, where Liz graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957.

That same year, Liz married the love of her life, Larry Lee McDevitt, Sr in Lincoln, Nebraska. Together they had one son and 3 daughters: Larry Jr., Wendy, Lori and LeeAnn.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Larry L McDevitt Sr, and her daughter Wendy Pease. She is survived by her children Larry L McDevitt Jr, Lori (David) Sandiford, and Lee Ann (Chuck) Kushner; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

There are lives that ripple gently, touching only those closest to them, and then there are lives that move like rivers—embracing, nourishing, and inspiring everyone along their path. Our mom was such a river, overflowing with love, compassion, and an unwavering willingness to extend a helping hand or a listening ear to all she met.

From the earliest days, Mom radiated warmth and genuine interest in people's stories, cherishing each relationship as a precious gift. She had the rare talent of making others feel seen and valued, instinctively knowing when to offer encouragement or simply share a joyful moment. For her, no friendship was ever too small to be treasured.

Mom's heart found expression in many forms. As a fine artist, she poured her soul into the intricate world of miniature paintings—each delicate brushstroke revealing her patience, vision, and deep appreciation for beauty in the tiniest details. Sharing her love of art, she taught children's art classes, nurturing young creativity with her trademark encouragement and gentle wisdom. The laughter and wonder she brought to her classroom will live on in every child she inspired.

Her spirit of generosity was boundless. Whenever there was a need in the community, Mom was there—never waiting to be asked, always the first to volunteer. Her commitment found its fullest expression during her career with the Salvation Army, where she served with distinction as the Senior Center Director. Even after retiring, her devotion continued as she volunteered tirelessly, her heart always open and her hands ever busy making life brighter for others.

Yet, life wasn't all duty—Mom embraced joy and adventure at every turn. A classic car enthusiast with a flair for the memorable, she was often seen behind the wheel of her beloved 1965 turquoise blue Ford Galaxy—a car as vibrant as her own spirit. She delighted in every outing, the hum of the engine a perfect accompaniment to her laughter.

In quieter moments, Mom found contentment in books and films, a bowl of popcorn always within reach. These simple pleasures brought her peace and inspiration, fueling her curiosity and imagination.

Above all, Mom lived life to the fullest, seizing every opportunity God placed before her with gratitude and grace. Her faith was the wellspring of her kindness, and her compassion knew no bounds. Whether at the center of bustling community activity or sharing quiet time with family...
