Elizabeth Alice Bowman (Betty) passed away on April 2, 2023 at the age of 87.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Harry A. Bowman (2003).  Betty was born on May 1, 1935 in Spokane Washington to George and Alice Randall.  She was the second child with four other siblings; Barbra Webster (deceased), Chuck Randall (deceased), Paul Randall, Penny Burdick. Betty met her husband of 47 years and raised four boys; Randall Bowman (Marie), Robert  Bowman (Judy, deceased), Ted Bowman (Barb), Timothy Bowman (Barbara).

Betty was the "Go To" Mother and friend to all the neighbors and their children, helping out with everything including medical attention, discipline & entertainment. Betty was an exceptional floral arranger, cook and baker (homemade dinner rolls & pies were her specialty). She was the lady in charge. Many and most functions were always held at the Bowman house whether it was Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter or the July 4 ^th party.

Professionally, Betty worked for the Tacoma School District as a crossing guard, recess monitor, Building Paraprofessional and then notably a Parent Advocate. She was a charter member of Skyline Presbyterian Church as a faithful servant to others but most importantly to our Heavenly Father.

Betty enjoyed working hundreds of jigsaw puzzles, watching her favorite movies over and over and hanging out with her cat Wilbur. She lived the life she wanted & family was always first.  Betty's legacy remains with her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

A private family funeral will be at New Tacoma Cemetery April 15. Flowers or cards may be sent to New Tacoma Cemetery -Evergreen Chapel.
