Douglas Lee Baldwin: kind and loving husband, caring father, good friend to all. Doug was born on April 11, 1938 in Merced, CA to Dwight and Luella Baldwin. He died on February 26, 2024, in Tacoma, WA.
Doug was a happy man who enjoyed golf, playing his trumpet every day, watching old Western movies and musicals, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was supportive of his church and was a member of the Methodist Church all his adult life.
Doug earned both his undergraduate degree in Education and his Master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Puget Sound. He was employed by Federal Way School District for 33 years as a teacher and counselor.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Roszman. Doug was previously married to the late Cynthia Ann Clancy for 53 years and is survived by their daughters Debbie Baldwin of Federal Way and Kristi Mitchell (Martin) of Springfield, VA and his two grandchildren Madelyne and Jackson Mitchell. Additional survivors include his brothers Gary Baldwin (Marge) of Portland, OR and Mike Baldwin (Barbara) of Oklahoma City, OK.
Please join family and friends for a memorial service at Mason United Methodist Church, 2710 N. Madison Street, Tacoma, on Saturday, March 16, at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mason Methodist Memorial Fund or Melanoma Research Foundation if desired.
