Donald A. Meyer passed away surrounded by loving family, Friday, July 7.

Born February 10, 1940 in Dickinson, ND to Francis and Elizabeth (Zillich) Meyer. Donald is preceded in death by his brothers Edward, Richard, and William and his sister Mary.

Donald graduated from Toppenish High School in Toppenish, WA in 1958 and enlisted in the U.S. Airforce. Following his service he studied at Yakima Community College and University of Washington and began a career in mechanical engineering. He retired from Tres West Engineering in Tacoma, WA.

As a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary's Traditional Catholic Church in Parkland, WA, he served on the board and spent countless hours in service to his church.

Don loved visiting with family and researching family history. He loved to share stories about his time in the Air Force stationed in Thule Greenland and about his cross-country travels in his modified VW Beetle.

Donald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Burke Meyer, son Gregory Meyer, daughters Colleen Endrody, Maria Meyer, Kathleen Meyer, son-in-law Drew Endrody, and granddaughters Mackenzie and Madison Endrody.

He was a good man and a great father. He loved his family with all his heart and attended all their games, concerts, plays, and recitals. He was always there when needed.

Funeral mass at St. Mary's Traditional Catholic Church (757 138th St. S., Tacoma, WA 98444) on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM.
