David Vernon Vance was born in Ronan, Montana on February 6th, 1949, and passed away in Tacoma Washington on March 12, 2025. David was the youngest son of Vern and Bea Vance and brother to Karen Brist. David grew up in Tacoma with his sister Karen and enjoyed spending time at the ocean and on the water with his parents on their boat. David was also an avid bowler in his day.

David leaves behind a large group of family and friends that loved and cared for him. Linda, Oscar, the Hansens, his friends and family at meeting and at the YMCA. He also leaves behind nephew Mike Brist, his wife Lori, their kids Kira and Skye, and his niece Cherlynn Doble, her husband Adrian, and their kids Brian and Krislynn.

In all, David lived a simple life full of joy and happiness that somehow touched everyone he met. He would teach us that you can't wait for life to be easy to be happy.
