David Sekou Hylton, known to many as "Saiko", was born in Seattle, Washington on March 1, 1972 to the loving parents of Brenda Ward (deceased) and David Hylton (deceased).  He graduated from Walla Walla Community College, obtaining his degree in welding, on November 8, 2007.  He would go on to start his own successful business as a welder and fabricator.

David is survived by Tamar Yahawahdah, his loving wife/significant other; sisters Von Burns (Ghana), Retha Hylton (WA), Karen Hylton (WA), Angelia Hylton (deceased), Tania Souljourney (WA); and brother Michael Watson (WA).  David also leaves behind six children, Laquisha Ruffin (Earl Farve- WA), Delvontae Riley (WA), Tremel Martin (WA), David Ward (WA), Elijah Hylton (WA), and Daniel Hylton (WA); bonus children Kentara (LV), Tyiesha (GA), Tamar (WA), and Shaykeem (WA); along with five granddaughters and nine grandsons.  David also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, Blue the Pharrett, and Two the dog.  David was full of life.  His voice was distinct, laugh was infectious, and hugs were heartfelt.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.  David will be affectionately missed by everyone.

We would like to thank you all for helping us celebrate David's life.  It has given us great comfort to be surrounded by family and friends in this time of grief.  We hope that you can join us for a BBQ at Wright Part on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
