Obituary

David was surrounded by his wife Bea and family before he fell into a deep sleep and left this world peacefully and into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.

David is survived by his wife Esperanza (Bea) Beatriz of 21 years. Two sons, David Lee (wife Nichole) … granddaughters, Kali, Sydney, and Josie…son Stephen (wife Angela), grandsons, Ethan and Gavin…stepdaughters, Cindy Vincent (husband Patrick) …Sheri Greenway (husband Raymond) … four grandchildren and five great grandchildren… sisters Betty Wedekind …Beverly Cornett (husband Robert) …brother Christopher Martinez (wife Kevan) along with many nieces and nephews.

Inez Y. Russell was preceded in death (August 2014) by her son David C. Barnes.

David was very close to his sister Beverly. Her love and support for both Bea and David helped them to get through many difficult times. He loved and appreciated both Bev and Bob more than words could say. Thank you for always being there day or night. We could always count on you for moral support, a shoulder to cry on or just to have a good laugh.

David was very appreciative of the love and support of Bea's family, which included Uncle Mo, sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, and nephews. They wrapped their arms around him, and he felt their love and prayers.

David's favorite verse is John 3:16… "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This scripture gave him comfort in knowing that when it was time for him to leave this world, he would have eternal life in heaven with our Heavenly Father!
