Daniel Kiril
Tchobanoff
Jun 2, 1949 — Aug 1, 2025
Tacoma
Daniel Kiril Tchobanoff, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 76. Daniel lived a life marked by unwavering faith in Jesus, selfless service, and profound love for his family.
Following Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of his life. He was a dedicated member of Lake City Community Church, serving on the elder board, greeting people with a warm smile, volunteering on the Security Team, working on the remodel and expansion of the church building, and leading a small group. Dan's servant heart was evident to all who knew him. He also grew in his faith, studying God's Word in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF).
Dan's family was the light of his life. He is survived by his cherished wife, Doris, of 53 years; brother James (Mariann); children Hannah (Michael), Noah (Amy), and Isaiah (Sara); and grandchildren Luke (Jenna), Seth, Halle, and Iyla. His family will forever remember the way he spelled love, T-I-M-E.
Dan worked in telecommunication services for Pierce County from 1987 to 2015. He will also be remembered as a Steilacoom volunteer firefighter, Boy Scout leader, Young Life supporter, Steilacoom High School (SHS) basketball announcer, BSF leadership team member, and SHS baseball #1 fan. He will be deeply missed, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now in Heaven with Jesus.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lake City Community Church on August 7 at 6:30 pm to remember Dan's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Lake City Community Church.
