CHARLES KAY DAVIS

November 28, 1935 – March 27, 2026

Charles Kay Davis, age 90, of Spanaway, WA, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026.

Charles (Chuck) was born on November 28, 1935, in Orofino, ID, to the late Cushman and Arlene Davis; he resided in Washington State for most of his life. He graduated from Franklin Pierce High School. Chuck was married to his lifelong sweetheart, Arlene Davis, for 68 years. They met when Arlene was 12 years old, and he was 16 years old, and they married in 1957. Chuck served his country in the National Guard for 32 years. Later, he worked for the Washington State Park System and the Clover Park School District. Chuck loved his family, and especially his wife, three sons, and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and had fun hunting, camping, and fishing. Chuck enjoyed antiquing with Arlene, where they delighted in the thrill of hunting down unique pieces of furniture and glassware. He enjoyed puttering and doing projects around the house. He always relished playing a game of pinochle with friends. Most of all, Chuck loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and spent many hours reading and studying his well-worn Bible and talking with others about it.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Leonard, Joseph, Norman, Richard, and Marvin Davis; and his sisters Evelyn Hareim and Dorothy Phillips. He was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Davis.

Surviving are his wife, Arlene Davis; sons, Greg Davis (Tammi) and Clint Davis (Judy); grandchildren, Charris Sheets (Clint), Tyler Davis, Joshua Davis (Brittany), Alea Davis, Ashley Davis, Christopher Davis (Savannah), and Charles Davis; and great-grandchild, Synnove Sheets.
