Carole R. Tinsley, "Nanny", born July 6,1934, passed away peacefully at her Steilacoom seaside cottage May 22, 2023.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  Carole was a Steilacoom resident for fifty-five years.  She was a gifted artist and master doll maker.  She owned and operated her real estate business (Chambers Bay Realty) for decades.  It was a fixture in the center of town and a popular place for people to visit… just to visit.  Her greatest accomplishment was her children, grand children and great-grand children.  She was so proud of them all.  She is preceded in death by son Jimmy Tinsley, grandson Brett Bousquet.  She is survived by five children, Harry Bousquet (Dee), Valerie Enger (David), Mark Tinsley (Bonnie), Bruce Tinsley (Darci), Paul Tinsley (Cindy), 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and long time companion Bruce Miller.  There will not be a public service, however her wish is that "Every one toast her with some good quality Champagne from a real glass".  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to  West Pierce CARES.
